1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. You represent that you are at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.

2. User Accounts

  • You may be required to register for an account to access certain features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and to keep that information current.

3. Content Ownership & Licensing

Your Content: You retain all rights to the music and other content (“Content”) you upload to Chorus. However, by uploading Content, you grant Chorus a non-exclusive, worldwide license to distribute, promote, and display your Content as needed to provide the Services.

Copyright & Misrepresentation: You must not upload, distribute, or make available any Content that you do not have the right to use, that infringes on a third party is intellectual property rights, or that is misrepresented in any way. We reserve the right to remove such Content without notice.

4. Prohibited Activities

  • Fraudulent or Fake Streams: Any attempt to artificially increase streams, plays, likes, or any form of engagement is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of bots, click farms, or any other fraudulent methods.
  • Harassment & Abuse: You agree not to engage in harassment, hate speech, or any behavior that is harmful or detrimental to other users, Chorus, or third parties.
  • Illegal Activities: You may not use the Services to engage in or promote illegal activities, including copyright infringement, distribution of harmful content, or any conduct that violates applicable laws and regulations.

5. Enforcement & Termination

  • Content Removal: We reserve the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
  • Account Suspension or Termination: Repeated violations, including the submission of infringing Content or exploitation of the Services (such as fraudulent streaming activity), will result in the suspension or termination of your account at Chorus’s sole discretion.
  • No Refunds: If your account is suspended or terminated for violations of these Terms, you will not be entitled to any refunds or compensation.

6. Early Takedown Charge

If any artist or label requests a takedown of their release before completing 12 months of live duration on streaming platforms, a takedown fee of ₹200 per release will be applicable. This fee covers processing, platform, and administrative costs associated with early content removal.

7. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability

  • No Warranty: Chorus’s Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chorus, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any damages resulting from your use of the Services, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.

8. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, service marks, and logos displayed on the Services are the property of their respective owners. You agree not to use these marks without the prior written permission of the owner.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the Services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Chorus operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved exclusively through the applicable legal process in that jurisdiction.
